     Born and raised in Athens, Larry Conrath graduated from Athens High School in 1963 and from Ohio University in 1967 with Bachelors degree in Business Administration.

     In 1972, Larry Conrath Realty opened its doors for business. Young and innovative, Larry started in a small office located on Stimson Avenue with a phone, his address book, and a desk. He did not have a fax machine, a computer or all the technology there is today. Nearly thirty six years later, located on East State Street, he has eleven full-time licensed real estate associates and a 5000 square-foot office building.

     The company philosophy has always been "Giving Back to the Community." It is important to maintain the quality of life for our Athenians and our children of tomorrow. The community programs Larry Conrath Realty has supported include the Dairy Barn - Free Thursday's, Ohio University Women's Athletics, Larry Conrath Library Program, United Appeal, Kids on Campus and Homecoming events, Athens Community Recreation Center, just to name a few.

     On a Statewide level, the Ohio Board of Realtors has recognized Larry Conrath Realty for its creativity and ingenuity in advertising and promotional efforts. In categories for companies from 2 to 1000 employees, Larry Conrath Realty has taken 1st place in all categories: Billboards, signs, newspaper advertising, community involvement, advertising, promotional items, office decor and more. This creativity has helped sell over 7500 homes since 1972.
